Living Ceremony: Honoring Change

‍ Ancient wisdom has told the story of the process of life as a three step ritual. Separation/death, the liminal/unknown, and the renewal/birth. This process has been honored through what was once marked by a right of passage. Whether for a young man stepping into maturation or a young woman birthing into motherhood, these examples of pivotal shifts in life were both recognized and respected as deep deaths from an old way of being into a foggy and potentially tender newness where we are invited to meet parts of ourselves we did not know were gestating all along. Eventually, often when we let go of control and surrender into the present, the death and the unknown phases culminate and a birth of a re-imagined, renewed life emerges with a whole new way of seeing and being in their world. Magic. Seasonal magic embodies. These rights are the same rights a women must enter when she moves into perimenopause and menopause. This is multi faceted and several year process that serves not as a punishment, but a promise for all women.

Living Ceremony is a time to sit in reverence for all the shifting paradigms, for the death, for the unknown. Whether you are entering a new relationship, letting go of one, giving birth, saying goodbye to a loved one, entering menopause, accepting peri-menopause, moving, healing……. All is a summoning into this three fold process. What if we step in with our eyes wide open and in community? With the help of living tea and practices in writing, drumming and guided meditations, I invite you into my home to share tea, silence, and practices that help to ground us into the reality of change. These practices have been my touch stone as I stand humbly at the threshold of my own changes. I hope to share tea and ceremony with you during this powerful season of life.
